Description:  This crocheted rosette is from the the Slouch Hat with Rosette pattern.  Quick increases produces a ruffly fabric that is curled up into a circle to produce the rosette flower.  You could make several from one fall of Party Ribbon.

Level:  Easy/Intermediate (sc, dc, working in the rnd, increasing, decreasing)

Size: 

Materials: 

Gauge:  13 hdc=4" on larger hook (Gauge is not critical)

Abbreviations: ch - chain; dc- double crochet; dec- decrease;  hdc- half double crochet; rnd- round; sc- single crochet; sl st- slip stitch; st(s)- stitch(es)

 

INSTRUCTIONS

 

Rosette:

Ch 21.

 

Row 1:  Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in remaining chains.  Turn. (20 sts)

Row 2:  Ch 1, work 2 hdc's in each sc. Turn.  (40 sts)

Row 3:  Ch 1, work 2 hdc's in each hdc. Turn. (80 sts)

Row 4:  Repeat Row 3.  (160 sts)

 

Fasten off.  Wind up in a circle and sew securely to desired position on hat.  Weave in all remaining ends.
